Tsinghua is #1, KAIST #2, and 8 of the top 10 are in Asia. Who leads NeurIPS 2026, in 32 interactive charts.

Tsinghua University leads more NeurIPS 2026 papers than any other institution. KAIST is second, ahead of MIT and Stanford, and eight of the top ten are in Asia. Europe's best, Oxford, comes fourteenth, and the only company in the top 50 is Google.
No one had published this year's breakdown, so we built one: all 9,100 accepted papers from NeurIPS's own data, every author matched to an institution, and each paper credited to its first author, the rule The Economist uses. The 32 charts below are interactive: click any institution or country, or search every title.
Fast Code AI has teams and partners in four of these countries, and each has its own page of who from there is presenting, by institute and city: Finland, Germany, India and the UAE. Our own paper, CausalDriveBench, on causal reasoning in vision-language-action models for autonomous driving, is in the Evaluations & Datasets track and presented in Sydney, with colleagues from IIT Delhi, IIT Hyderabad, Renesas and Google DeepMind.
